NSR, the local municipal waste company refines waste into valuable resources. We collaborate with others aiming for better solutions tomorrow than there are today. Our mission is to create locally sustainable cycle for all waste in the region.
NSR has built the largest biochar plants for garden waste in Sweden. From 7000 tons of garden waste from the City of Helsingborg and its residents we will produce 1500 tons of biochar. The excess heat will become district heating for app. 1000 households and from 1500 tons biochar, a carbon sink of 3-4000 tons is created.
